When it came time to move Emmie from the crib to a big girls room, every bone in my body got so excited to decorate her space! I love all things girly, and I wanted to give her a space that was filly and fun, and hopefully, wouldn’t go out of style anytime soon. She has been in her room for about 3 years now, and I am still as in love with it as the first day we finished it.
There is an abundance of beautiful rooms out there for little girls, it was so hard to decide which direction to go in. But, once I stumbled upon this Anthropologie wallpaper, well lets just say it was love at first sight. In her old bedroom, we had the wallpaper on the wall behind the bed. But, since we just changed rooms for her (so she could have the bigger closet), we had to remove the wallpaper. Luckily, this wallpaper was incredibly easy to peel off, and I was able to re-purpose some of it by sticking it onto canvases. Check out how that process went here.
My other favorite piece in the room is the DIY Floral letter I made for her. This is incredibly easy to do and makes a lovely decor piece in the room. I wanted to share how easy this was….I promise you can do it!, so check out my step by step for the DIY Floral Letter if you want to make your own.
It took me a few weeks of shopping to find all the pieces (I can’t believe I found frame prints that matched the wall paper so well!), but I am thrilled with how it all came together. Most importantly, Emmie loves her big girl room, which is really what it is all about!
